Running is more than a sport. It’s an act of freedom. This season, we asked artists what it means to be free in the cities in which they live. Through exploration and creative expression, they showed us that freedom is a state of mind, a way to approach every aspect of life, as well as a way to run. Their unique illustrations depict the freedom they feel in their communities every day—and offer endless ways to wear the Nike Free RN.
 
NIKE x FLABJACKS
For visual artist Ton Mak, it’s Shanghai’s flaws that make the city wonderful. Like wildflowers, it is bright and constantly growing and changing. Rather than pursuing perfection, she embraces every part of her life in Shanghai and goes with the flow. Her art for Flabjacks and Nike represents the freedom and beauty that come from making mistakes in an imperfect world.
